With EOR, Sonia, Inc. hires the individual and manages any associated paperwork for the respite worker and the family.

Families are responsible for finding their own respite worker. It may be a friend, neighbor, siblings, or whomever they wish as long as the potential Respite worker meets the hiring requirements and Regional Center guidelines.

The family will be responsible for any personal care trainings that the respite worker may need. However, the respite worker cannot administer the following medical services, including and not limited to:

• Inhaler (see Specialized Respite page)
• Nebulizer (see Specialized Respite page)
• Epi-pen (see Specialized Respite page)
• G-tube feedings (see Specialized Respite page)
• Insulin pump
• Nasal therapy
• Injections
• NG tube feedings
• Suppositories
• Wound Care
• Oxygen treatments
• Medications (premeasured-only)
